It will be unlike anything else in London! We will open the door to a limitless world and we will give the starting points to go anywhere. It will be an open journey that leads children and us to the whole world, to go everywhere.
It will celebrate different ways of seeing things, creating things and making things, whether through the arts or sciences. Themes will change and evolve as children and their families explore their lives, their city and their world.
Through experiences and interactions at the Museum, children will be encouraged to unlock their own creativity and discover new talents, skills, passions and interests – all essential for their future lives, and to foster a love of making and learning.
The Museum will reach out to communities across the city with its own events and through collaborative activities with various partners and agencies. Ideas and programmes will be generated by the Museum itself and working with others, particularly children from all of London’s diverse communities.
Through the web and the Museum’s evolving digital online offer, we will seek to build a relationship with our visitors both before and after their visits, which help support their play, learning and creativity.
Ideas will be ever changing and driven by the input, imagination and creativity of children. As well as its core exhibits, spaces in the Museum will be available for groups to mount their own exhibitions, stage their own performances, show their own films or anything else they want to show to others.
